This movie is based on the true story that doesn't seem possible. The guy the FBI put in charge of counterespionage might be a spy. Robert Hanssen was a real life FBI dude that was on the trail of CIA agents that might be selling secrets to the Soviet Union. It's been called the worst intelligence disaster in U.S. history.
Hanssen is especially suspicious of Eric O'Neill, a young dude assigned to his department. Eric is a computer wiz while Hanssen poo poos the lack of good old fashioned hard work. Will they find the double agent that has been feeding the soviets info for years? Is one of them the actual spy?
