Who's this Dude? Looks kinda nerdy, don't he? Well fer yer info. This dude hung out on the beach on a Island a lot as a kid. He was pretty much a four eyes and kinda goofy. He would run around pickin up seaweed and slingin' mud and just playing in the sea foam What folks today would call "ADHD" or "Autistic". You know - he didn't fit in. Well ole Bucky went off to college and flunked out. More truthfully he was kicked out for partying. Twice. But he got out and got a job. Well several. Bucky didn't get along well with the boss - he was always a little distracted. World War one busted out and a newly married dude joined the Navy (he was raised around boats on the Island) and had a rollickin good time kickin the Hun's butt all over the coast of New England. So then our boy had the idea to make cheap houses and eventually invented the Geodesic Dome like at the Epcot center- he invented that! He was a pretty smart dude when he finally got his head screwed on straight. Oh and he made a really big fuel efficient fast car, was a college professor and had a molecule named after him - Bucky Balls! I ain't Lying. He coined the Word "Dymaxion" because it joined Dynamic with Maximum, Dude! And the reason he figgered out how to make corcles out of straight lines is that he didn't think God had to work out Pi in his head evertime he made a sea foam bubble. |
